Selection Sunday

Tomorrow is Selection Sunday, the day the NCAA basketball tournament pairings are announced. Clearly, one of the biggest, and most anticipated days of the year. It's right up there with Red Sox opening day, The Red Sox home opener, the NBA Draft and, of course, the NFL Draft. Personally, I think they should be national holidays. Choosing the field of 65 teams is only the beginning - then the fun begins. Print the brackets, analyze the brackets, pick the teams, exchange your choices with the other bracketology fans - and let the trash talking begin. This year there is an added bonus to Selection Sunday. At noon on ESPN2, the Movin' Mavs of the University of Texas at Arlington are playing for the Southland Conference Championship and an automatic bid to the Big Dance. I might not be able to sleep tonight.
