L.B.J. Quotes
It is the excitement of becoming - always becoming, trying, probing, failing, resting, and trying again - always trying and always gaining.

If one morning I walked on top of the water across the Potomac River, the headline that afternoon would read "President Can't Swim".

Election 2008
We don't have Mitt to kick around any more, unless he becomes McCain's running mate. It seems like he has too much energy to be a Vice President, but it would build his resume and set him up for the next election. I can't see him spending the next four years as VP, but he might take it if he thinks McCain won't win. That way he can say he tried, and we'll see him again in four years. As for the Dems, it's still wide open, with a slight edge to Obama. He seems to have a little more momentum - and money. It might come down to how many women will support Clinton. The Democtratic Party may also put a little pressure on Obama to become the VP nominee, but not until there are a few more primaries. If he pulls ahead, all bets are off. I don't see Hillary settling for VP. The next month or two will be very interesting. Since the primaries have started, there have been 50 million votes cast for Democrats, and 9 million votes cast for Republicans. That can't be good news for Republicans.

Super Tuesday
This is a very big day in American political history. Democrats are deciding between a woman and a black man. No matter who wins, it will obviously be a first, but it probably won't be decided today. All of the Democratic primaries and caucuses award their delegates proportionately, so the second place finisher also gets some delegates. Neither Clinton nor Obama will get enough delegates to clinch the nomination today, most likely not even enough to take a commanding lead. However, nine of the Republican primary states award the winner all of that state's delegates, so someone could come very close to wrapping it up today. The momentum seems to favor McCain, but the New Hampshire primary taught us not to trust polls. Get out there and vote.

Super Sunday
Ok, it's time for a Super Bowl prediction. I think both teams have weak defensive backfields. The Giants have a better defensive line, but the Pats have better linebackers. So I think the defenses are pretty even. The Giants have a good running game, but the Patriot's running game has been pretty good lately especially with Kevin Faulk doing his thing. The big difference is obviously quarterback and wide recievers. Edge - Patriots! The Giants are in a bind; if they rush only 3 guys, Brady will have all day, and he can do anything he wants. If they rush 4-5 or more, he'll kill them with short passes and the running game. On the other side of the ball, if the Pats shut down the Giants running game and force Manning to pass, he's in trouble. Sooner or later bad things will happen to the G-Men.
Prediction: Patriots 38, Giants 20.
Prediction: Patriots 38, Giants 20.
