Final Four

Another year of predictions is down to the Final Four. Interestingly, all of us still have our championship pick still alive. However, Mike is the only one who predicted the entire final four. Quite a rare accomplishment these days with all of those George Mason types out there. It almost happened again this year with Davidson. Each year, the "experts" like Bobby Knight preach that the tournament should include only the "best 65", which, in his mind, such as it is, wouldn't include Davidson, Siena, and Belmont. What a shame that would be. So it's on to the Final Four. Good luck to everyone!

Success Is A Choice

Lately I've been re-reading parts of Rick Pitino's book, "Success Is A Choice: Ten Steps To Overachieving In Business And Life". It's one of my favorites. I especially like the chapter about being on time. He says that unless you arrive at least fifteen minutes early, you're late. It doesn't take his teams long to realize that a three o'clock practice really means be there at 2:30 to warm up because full-speed drills start exactly at three o'clock, and they had better be prepared.

Here's part of the introduction to the book:
