Thought For The Day

Girls just want to have funds.

After Iowa

For those of us who like politics almost as much as sports, yesterday was the start of the playoffs.

For the Democrats, Hillary's third place finish was a surprise. If she doesn't win in New Hampshire, Obama might just have too much momentum. He proved he can win in the midwest, and he should do well in the southern states like South Carolina. However, if Hillary wins in New Hampshire it's a whole new ball game. She and Big Bill will be campaigning hard this weekend.

At least the Dems are down to two candidates. The Republicans don't have a clear frontrunner and it might be some time before they do. The Preacher won't do as well in New Hampshire. Granite Staters are less concerned with "values" and more concerned with competence and experience. It should be a real battle between McCain and Romney. McCain has done everything except buy a house in New Hampshire, and Romney has a house in New Hampshire. If Romney wins he's in great shape, and if he finishes second again he's in good shape. It's more of a "must win" for McCain. Rudy is putting all his eggs in the Florida basket, where old New Yorkers go to die.

I can't wait for the second round of the playoffs next Tuesday.

Thoughts For The Day

You miss one-hundred percent of the shots you never take.

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Homer Simpson's World

"I can't believe it! Reading and writing actually paid off."

"Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?"

"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive."
