Super Tuesday

This is a very big day in American political history. Democrats are deciding between a woman and a black man. No matter who wins, it will obviously be a first, but it probably won't be decided today. All of the Democratic primaries and caucuses award their delegates proportionately, so the second place finisher also gets some delegates. Neither Clinton nor Obama will get enough delegates to clinch the nomination today, most likely not even enough to take a commanding lead. However, nine of the Republican primary states award the winner all of that state's delegates, so someone could come very close to wrapping it up today. The momentum seems to favor McCain, but the New Hampshire primary taught us not to trust polls. Get out there and vote.
